  • Product Description

Here we present something a little different from Drumdrops - a bass guitar! We have sampled up the stunning 1960s Fender Precision Bass as owned by Miloco Studios and used at their Orinoco Complex. We've included two versions of the samples in this free pack - one recorded through a vintage Ampeg B15 using a Neumann U47 FET microphone and Neve preamp. The other is straight from a RedEye DI box - so you have a super clean version, and one with a bit more character from the old Ampeg.

In Depth

This pack contains folders for both one shots (a single velocity) and single hits (three velocities) of both long and short notes for the 4 open strings of the bass, at two octaves. There are patches for Kontakt, EXS24, Battery and Ableton, which pitch-shift the notes across the full chromatic octave.

The samples were simultaneously recorded through a vintage Ampeg B15 amp using a Neumann U47 mic, and through a RedEye DI. The recorded amp samples and the clean DI samples are each available for each note.
