Heavy Rock Drops is an explosive album of 20 classic heavy rock drum tracks covering styles from the 1970's up to today. For this hard-hitting beat collection we have used the talents of the UK's leading rock drummer, Jason Bowld (http://www.jasonbowld.com) of Axewound fame. Jason has also drummed for This Is Menace, Bullet For My Valentine, Fightstar, Pitchshifter, Killing Joke and Pop Will Eat Itself.
This Mapex Heavy Rock Kit was recorded at the Garden Studios in Shoreditch, London. The kit is available to purchase in five different packs and is a must for all those who love rock drum kits. This kit, which was a Mapex Saturn Kit comes with three Mapex Snares including a much sought after Black Panther Hammered Series snare in Phosphor Bronze. The kit also comes with three crash cymbals, a china crash and a ride cymbal. It has been recorded with 16 velocity levels and multiple articulations. This Mapex Saturn kit is owned by Jason Bowld (Killing Joke, Bullet For My Valentine) who uses it for all his recording sessions with some of the UKs leading rock producers. These kits are renowned as being one of the best rock kits.

The Multitracks & Velocities pack is the Multitrack version of the Heavy Rock Drops Drops album of loops, and the Multi Velocity version of the Mapex kit. So you receive the full unmixed multitrack of the loops split into song structures such as intro, groove, fills, outs etc. The kit provides up to 16 velocities for each articulation. Each sample included in this pack is a mix of all of the kit mics. This pack can be used in any drum machine or sampler that reads 24 bit WAV files, and we've included patches to the some of the most common software.
This pack is perfect for those looking for more flexibility with their loops and samples, and who want to have full control over the sound and mix of the drums.
The One Shots & Loops pack contains the Loops Pack from the Heavy Rock album, and the One Shot Pack from the Mapex kit. So you get the ready-mixed stereo loops (broken into fills, intro, outdo etc). And you get one shot samples of each drum in the Mapex kit.
This pack is great for those looking for out-of-the-box loops all ready to mix, along with some great single-velocity samples to play with.
