The CJ Evans Pocket Funk albums have tempos ranging from 62-123bpm, with CJ taking inspiration from many of the beats that have influenced him and countless others. Influences in these killer grooves from the pocket king Nate Smith to Robert Searight of Snarky Puppy, James Gadson Of Bill Withers, Chris Dave of D’Angelo, Clyde Stubblefeild of James Brown and Steve Jordan of John Mayer fame. After the success of volume 1, we charged straight back into the studio to record another round of CJ's fantastic pocket funk loops.
The Modern Funk Kit is a hybrid of Ben Hillier's Slingerland and Premier kits and CJ Evan's Tama kit, recorded meticulously by Billy Halliday in Miloco's The Pool, a truly incredible drum recording studio. The kit comprises the Premier kick, Slingerland and premier toms, Tama SLP Aluminium Snare, Tama SLP Duo Snare, Tama 12" Snare, Radioking snare, Ludwig Supraphonic 400 snare and Sabian cymbals and hats.

The Multitracks & Velocities pack is the Multitrack version of the two CJ Evans albums of loops, and the Multi Velocity version of the Modern Funk Kit. So you receive the full unmixed multitrack of the loops. The kit provides up to 6 velocities for each articulation. Each sample included in this pack is a mix of all of the kit mics. This pack can be used in any drum machine or sampler that reads 24 bit WAV files, and we've included patches to the some of the most common software.
This pack is perfect for those looking for more flexibility with their loops and samples, and who want to have full control over the sound and mix of the drums.
The One Shots & Loops pack contains the Loops Pack from each Pocket Funk album, and the One Shot Pack from the Modern Funk Kit. So you get the ready-mixed stereo loops, and you get one shot samples of each drum in the Modern Funk Kit.
This pack is great for those looking for out-of-the-box loops all ready to mix, along with some great single-velocity samples to play with.
