'Now That's What I Call 80's Drums' Out Now

May 06 2013 – Drumdrops Admin

Our latest Drum Tracks album has hit the Drumdrops site. 20 classic 80s Pop and New Wave Drum grooves covering all of your favourites - Soul 2 Soul, De La Soul, Depeche Mode, Happy Mondays. Michael Jackson and much more..

With the incredible Steve Sidelynk (Madonna, Annie lennox) on drumming duty and the hugely experienced Chris Potter (The Verve) on Recording and mixing duties this is a great sounding drum album.

Recorded on a DW Collectors Series kit (provided by Drumhire) using a range of Ludwig snares this is a formidable sounding kit. The kit was recorded at Miloco Sofa Sound Studios and Chris used 19 mics to get that detailed 80s sound.

The album is available to download now direct from the Drumdrops site. Each track can be purchased track by track as a multi-track pack, stem pack or loops pack. Alternatively you can purchase the whole album in either format. This will be 20% cheaper than buying the tracks on a track by track basis.

Each multi-track contains the audio of each drum track as 44.1 24 bit WAVs and default templates for Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, Ableton Live, Reaper and Studio One. Also included is an OMF file to import the audio into any other DAW and a MIDI tempo file to sync up the tempo of your external drum machines.

The Stem packs contain a mix down of each drum part, any percussion used and the full kit. This also includes the MIDI tempo file.

The Loops packs, cut up each track into approximately 6 or 7 four bar loops and they are then provided as a mix of each drum component (as well as the full kit). All of the loop packs are formatted as WAVs, Apple Loops or Rex2 files making them compatible with any DAW or sampler.
