Drumdrops presents 19 four to the floor classic disco drum tracks taking you back to the golden roots of the disco genre. Performed by top session drummers using Ludwig and Gretsch drum kits, vintage Zildjian cymbals and snares by Ludwig, Rogers and Slingerland, Disco Drops has been expertly produced to provide producers, writers and re-mixers with supreme quality disco beats.
Produced and mixed by drum recording maestro Mike Pelanconi, this acclaimed album has kept strictly to the Drumdrops ethos of using only the very best vintage analogue equipment. Each track has been recorded on a 1970s Neve console, using analogue tape, vintage microphones and outboard gear such as Pultec Equalizers and Fairchild Compressors.
The 19 Disco Drops drum tracks provide a sparkling variety of grooves, tones and timbres: Rolling Funky Disco beats with punchy snares, tambourines and claves; Driving Disco Club Classics with fat toms and funky conga; Latin funky disco grooves with smooth hats and hand percussion; or Miami Disco with heavy shuffle, accented hats, short snare fills and big shaker. The Disco Drops tracks can be purchased as multi-tracks (unmixed), stems (mixed) or drum loop packs.
The Multi-tracks come as full length live multi-tracks and song construction loops. These packs include a tempo map and OMF file to export into other DAW. We also provide patches for Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, Reason, Reaper, Studio One and Ableton Live and the audio comes as 24 Bit WAVs. The Multi-track Song Loops are locked to the beat and cut into song structures such as Intro, verse, chorus, middle 8, bridge and Outro.
The Stems and mix packs usually contain stems of the Kick, Snare and Overheards as full length 24 bit WAVs and these also come with a tempo map. The Stem and Mix packs also include the locked to the beat song construction loops (but mixed versions).
The loop packs contain live 4 bar loops in each component stem and a folder of grooves and fills which are 2 bar loops locked to the beat. We have included as many useful loops that we can get from each drum track. The loops come formatted as 24 bit WAVs, Apple Loops (24 bit and 16 bit) and Rex 2 Files.

Hard 80s disco beat with big toms and accented hi-hat patterns. 24” bass drum, fat snare sound and tight hi-hat. 1/16th note hi-hat with rolls, 4 to the floor bass drum, snare drum backbeat. Bass drum intro followed by 16th hi-hat with accents, rolls into syncopated tom pattern which leads to the groove. Hi-hat breakdown later on.

Pumping disco classic with big 24” bass drum, fat snare sound and sweet 15" hi-hat.1/16th note hi-hat open on 3+ (changes as groove develops), fat backbeat on snare drum, four to the floor bass drum, bass drum intro followed by snare drum roll, hi-hat open/closed, the pattern varies and intensifies throughout.
