From the makers of the classic Drumdrops in Dub, Drumdrops introduces Part 1 of the Rub A Dub trilogy that Prince Fatty and Horseman have made available exclusively to Drumdrops.
A Rub a Dub jamboree of 13 classic early 80s dance hall (pre drum machine era) reggae drum tracks inspired by famous dub plates. Prince Fatty and Horseman take us back to the original sound system beats that have inspired countless versions and re-rubs. A selection of steppers, two drops, one drops and flying cymbal patterns ready to "Mash up the Dance" ranging from 65-142 Bpm.
Recorded at Fatty's HQ with the deadly analogue combination of Ampex M1200 tape machine and vintage pre-amps that has made the Fatty sound infamous amongst selectors and hipsters world wide. Bonus kete drum, tambourine, percussion, dub wise electronic percussion and custom spring reverb included.
The Kit used was the Rogers Big R Dub Kit which can be purchased separately on the Drumdrops site available in three seperate sample packs. It consists of a 24” Kick Drum, 13”, 15” & 18” Toms, a Ludwig Black Beauty Snare, Remo Timbale, 15” Zildjian sweet hats and plenty of percussion.
Drumdrops offers the album as drum multi-tracks, mixes, drum stems and drum loops. All of the multi-tracks come with session templates including Pro Tools 9, Cubase 6 , Ableton Live 8, Reaper 4, Studio One 2.5 and now Reason 7. An OMF file is also provided should you need to export the 24 bit 44.1 WAVs into any other DAW. To make life that little bit easier, a beat tempo map is included to help sync up the drum machines. These multi-tracks are on average a 1 gig download making the full album about 12 gig. Make sure you are on a fast connection.
The Stem and mix packs come with 4 mixes of the drums, as well as separate drum stems of each individual drum component / mix down. These stems are ideal for those who want the ready mixed versions of the track and will help build your track at super speed.
The drum loops pack contains about 5 different 4-bar loops taken from the track and are provided as mixes of the individual drum parts, as well as the full mix and percussion mixes. Available formatted as WAVs, Apple Loops and Rex2 files, they can be dropped into any software easily.
